Forest Therapy and Sound Meditation Mini-Retreat

June 03, 2023 - Cedar Hill, TX

RSVP Here

This co-hosted sound bath and forest bathing event is a unique experience that combines the therapeutic benefits of forest therapy and meditation to provide a deeply relaxing and rejuvenating experience.

We will start with a guided forest bathing walk led by Laurence, Certified Nature and Forest Therapy Guide. The walk will allow you to connect with nature and reap the benefits of spending time outdoors. This practice involves immersing oneself in nature and engaging all the senses to experience the surroundings fully. Participants are encouraged to breathe deeply, listen to the sounds of the forest, and take in the natural environment's sights, smells, and textures.

After Forest Bathing, we will go inside the beautiful Trout Lily room with its floor-to-ceiling windows, where Master Sound Healer Erin Cruz will lead the Sound Bath. Participants will lie comfortably while listening to the soothing sounds of instruments such as crystal and Tibetan bowls, chimes, and other percussive instruments. The vibrations from the instruments can help to calm the mind and release tension from the body.

At the end of the session, tea and a light snack will be served.

What to wear: comfortable clothes, walking shoes, and a hat.

What to bring: Water, Yoga Mat, and a light layer to keep you comfortable.

Space is limited, RSVP required. Please note that $5 of each ticket sale will be donated to Dogwood Canyon Audubon Center.
